In a world in which starlight is increasingly being replaced by artificial lighting, we want to preserve and pass on the magic of the night sky. With our “Star Ambassador” seminar, you will learn to understand the night sky, decipher its secrets and pass on your knowledge to others. The seminar comprises four modules of two hours each, the first three of which take place in the Ars Electronica Center with fascinating 3D animations. The final module invites you to the observatory of the Sternwerkstatt to experience the starry sky up close.
Certification and award
After completing all four modules you will receive:
- An official Star Ambassador diploma.
- A Star Ambassador badge that symbolizes your qualification.
This award enables you to bring the fascination of the night sky closer to your fellow human beings and to become active as an ambassador for starlight.

Astronavigation of the night sky is a central part of the Star Ambassador training, especially in connection with the observatory of the Sternwerkstatt. This module could combine practical skills and spiritual insights to understand the night sky, connect with the stars and use this connection in the ambassador role.
This module combines scientific principles, practical experience and spiritual wisdom to provide participants with a deep understanding of the night sky and their role as star messengers.
